On Saturday, December 9, Agápe participated in a Midnight Run in New York City. We spent the evening distributing food, clothing, and other essential items, while also engaging in meaningful conversations with individuals experiencing homelessness. The night emphasized the importance of human connection and mutual respect, reminding us that the exchange of conversation and understanding is just as powerful as the exchange of goods. This Sunday, November 9th, The Agápe Project organized a service event of making dog and cat toys for local animal shelters, partnering with the nonprofit Pillows for Paws. Around 20 high schoolers joined us today to create 65 toys! In addition to making toys, we read The Sandwich Swap by Queen Rania Al Abdullah to discuss the implications of cultural bias and the importance of inclusivity. Thank you to everyone who helped out!
